What will you be selling at Craft2.0?

I’ll be selling a brand new assortment of the much loved free range baby classics, including pet pocket pinafores and overalls, pleated dresses and bubble suits (oh yes summer is coming!). As well as some super deals on winter stock and the most recently hatched vintage fabric cranes… and other treats!

Where can I buy your stuff?

If you can’t make it to craft2.0 then you should check out Wanda Harland in Petone or Mt Victoria for the best local range of free range baby.
Otherwise visit freerangebaby.co.nz, make an appointment to visit the free range studio or check out one of the online outlets.

What keeps you crafting, what is it about craft that means you just can’t not craft?

I love making the most of the little piece of fabric that get discarded and turn up at op shops. I adore making children’s clothes because its so exciting to make something and actually see it being worn by a gorgeous little person!
It is the best thing to have a job where I can call op shopping work, it doesn’t get much better than that.

Tell us the inspiration behind one of your latest creations, how did it come into behing and what do you love about it?

My latest creations are a range of sweet summery girls dresses, including some larger sizes. They are inspired by the 1960’s children’s books I’ve been picking up at the op shops, whimsical and super sweet. I’ve been noticing the sad looks on little girls faces at the markets who get told that my gears are just for babies… so now I will be providing dresses for in sizes 4 & 5T. YAY

Did you buy anything or swap anything at the last craft 2.0 and what was it?

I was admiring the gorgeous Owl prints that Greta had on books, baby gear and necklaces at the last market. Luckily for me she liked my cranes so we did a swap, I got a necklace and Greta and her gorgeous twins got to take home two vintage fabric cranes. Great swap!

I would be lost without my …..

button collection

What is your favourite place to craft?

I love my big sunny studio in Mount Cook, especially when my studio mates are in full creative swing too and there is sweet music drifting up through the floorboards from the recording studio below – bliss.

Are you launching anything special at Craft2.0?
