Over the hill is the always popular martinborough fair, my tip is take an umbrella, it’s the perfect sunshade for a sunny day and if the microcrlimate goes wonky you are also covered. Shopping at martinborough involves a mix of handmade, imported and home grown.
I’m a big fan of plant shopping at martinborough and berries and ice cream, but i also like checking out the beautiful handmade stalls.
So if you are prepared to drive or take the train over the hill have a lovely day
In wellington is the Frank Kitts market, I popped in last weekend and it was just delightful. The fair seems to be getting better with every week and what’s better than a sunny saturday on the waterfront? Especially when there are so many amazing things for kids to do on the waterfront and at frank kitts. which keeps them happily distracted while you can visit the markets, in the lovely cool shade. From delightful homemade baking, to art prints and an on site florist Frank kitts is a perfect place to pick up something for your valentine this saturday.
In fact if you head over the hill early enough you could check out the martinborough fair and be back in time to check out frank kitts, it is a day of celebration after all :D
